With a reverent and nostalgic eye, When Looking Back re-lives and recreates memories of childhood in a well loved home. The photographs are bathed in soft and tender light, inviting a sense of quiet longing and melancholy. I will soon leave this place, saying goodbye not only to my home but to the innocent, childlike part of myself. "The only home is memory," Terry Tempest Williams writes. Likewise, When Looking Back turns the past into images of tender regard, and as I grow and move on from this place I will always have these pictures of home as it was and as it shall be remembered.
